Body Intelligence

Body intelligence is an understanding that your body knows what is good for it: your body is more than the vehicle that carries you around. It is a powerful being with capacity for emotion and intuition as well as the key to a fulfilling journey for the duration of your life.

Are you tuned in to your body? Being in tune with your body can deepen your spiritual connection: the mind-body connection we are all seeking through yoga and meditation. With every breath you take you have the potential to deepen your relationship with yourself.

Taking a few minutes daily to scan your body pays dividends

I invite you to stop pushing away the niggles and pains and be curious about what your body is trying to tell you. Stop every day and take a few minutes to scan your body:

Sit comfortably, stand upright with good posture or lie on your back. Closing your eyes, breathe comfortably. Starting at the feet, pay attention to each part of the body as you scan over from toes to the head – paying attention to any physical sensations or emotions that arise.

Just listen – no judgement. This is the first step in understanding.
