Taking it for granted

It’s all too easy, when you love somewhere beautiful, to take it for granted and rush from place to place totally forgetting to admire the view.

And so it was this afternoon when I had an event I wanted to get o in the town centre: 5 minutes by car or 25 to walk along the beach. I set off in the car – got to the edge of the estate and drove home. The sun was shining and there was no real rush!

Change into walking shoes, warmer jacket plus hat – and took to my feet.

You could, I suppose, argue that the beach will still be there tomorrow: but can you guarantee I (or anyone else) will be? Live now – take nothing for granted .
