Feeling slightly shell-shocked today as I try to fit in all the stuff I normally do on a Monday – and I’m retired!
My sunlight alarm woke me up in good time to get downstairs to lead my first-this-year Mindful Movement class. It was good to see the regulars and also my daughter to get the first working day of the New Year off to a good start. The rain and sleet didn’t inspire me to leave the house for Crossfit – so I joined a friend online to do a workout. Trying to reconnect with my social media, get up to speed with the house chores and be ready for Yoga for a Healthy Back at 11:30am. And all of a sudden it’s lunchtime!
Feeling like I’m well on the back foot it’s starting to get dark outside as I battle with the third load of washing and declutter the remains of the Christmas goodies – then wave off the University student as he leaves for another term. The teenager is home for the next couple of weeks with covid-closures and I’ve voluteered to be a school covid tester (at least I’ll get to see what is going on!!).
Maybe this slow-start feeling is because of the sudden bombardment of stuff to do as I’ve done so little over the last 2 weeks! Reminding myself I’m good enough!! Tomorrow has to be better!!
