Rushing back to ‘Normal’ ?

No rush here. Not because I have some fear about ‘the virus’ – more because I’ve discovered that I actually quite like not rushing about from one thing to another.

My yoga studio doubles as my conservatory – well in truth it’s the other way around – there’s more family chilling done in there than yoga. But I roll out of bed and switch on Zoom for my 8am class: no driving, no travel time. For all my classes I just appear in the space and people can tune in to join in.

I totally get it – it’s not the same vibe: but I quite like people coming to me rather than me going ‘somewhere’ all of the time!

I miss the gym: but even them so much can happen in my garage to maintain fitness. It’s something I can do more of with confidence. – and no travel time.

Having to be somewhere at a certain time? Easy when all you have to do is switch on and dial in.

There are, of course , a lot of things I miss. Those things I want back. Freedom to choose, places to go – a reason to wear something other than lycra. But not everything exactly the same as before.

So this weekend Im going to consider this – and choose what bits of normal to let back into my life.
