#bestversionofyou – do you hashtag this? Do you aspire to be this – or hope to inspire others to be theirs?
When I introduce myself at business meetings I say that I’m a retired dentist, biohacker and yoga teacher – and that I aspire to inspire others to be the best version of themselves. – What do I mean by that?
I hope to inspire not just by my words – but by my actions: by representing a version of me that I can be proud of. Looking at my introduction – how does that explain?
Retired dentist – I left the profession at 52: and no longer am registered. I say this to demonstrate that I am ‘of a certain age’ and have some history of education and business.
Biohacker – because I truly believe that we can influence how our body ages. Paying attention to our diet/input – with particular interest in nutrigenomics ( I work with a company specialising in this field), our lifestyle and our response to stress.
Yoga teacher – because I have discovered that the ancient principles of yoga deliver many of the answers we need in our modern life in terms of mindset, movement, meditation and lifestyle.
I love to see people make choices that bring them life and joy, choices that increase their quality of life and health in the longer term (or healthspan, if you will) – and I love to be part of their journey in making and maintaining those choices.
