It’s too easy to look outside and decide you’re too busy – or it’s too cold – and avoid going out. Yesterday I mad a pledge to myself that no matter what I would go outside and walk or do some gardening every day from now.
Fresh air (and preferably sunshine) boosts the mood – gives headspace. Gives time to think – slow down – enjoy the journey. All the things I tell myself that I should be doing. So today I headed to the beach in the car , parked up and strolled down. There were many people queuing at coffee shops, loads of walkers and even someone in a bikini taking a quick dip in the sea.
It’s too easy to think that random ‘to do’ list must be completed in a certain time. Too easy to avoid piling on the layers if it is cold out there. Like many things we know are good for us and that we can avoid for many reasons – fresh air is worth going out for.
So from here-on moving forwards I’m prioritising a daily walk. How hard can it be?!
